Yes Westlaw. I did do work this past Saturday and Sunday. Thanks for making me feel even more awesome.

Today- ran 4.05 miles on the treadmill. I forgot how easy it is to egg yourself on on a treadmill. I ended up doing it in 38:37– so less of the ‘taking it easy’ than I had planned considering I started out running 10:20 miles.

Tomorrow: 4 more miles.

And then Saturday I had to finish my book. If you have not already read the first million books in this series I don’t think you will care for this book. But if you have, it is at times quite hard to put down. And set in Ireland B___. Set in Ireland.

And then Sunday G. was also traveling so I didn’t go to bed early then either. But fear not, I spent many late mornings in bed because I am lazy lazy lazy.

I also accomplished most of my journal production, wrote 4 pages of a paper about Multijurisdictional Estate Planning (yes, it is as exciting as it sounds), wrote 2 e-mails providing legal information to DV survivors, did my reading for Monday, and of course caught up on ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING THAT HAS EVER HAPPENED ON FACEBOOK while doing this other work.

Also also, I went to a party where we spent the first part of the evening watching the SC primary results. I am going to miss DC so much. These are my people.

Apparently it might snow? All of DC waits in terror. Despite the fact that weather.com suggests we will get 0in accumulation. Oh DC. I’m going to miss you so much.

M.:Why didn’t he sign your boobs?
Me: He said no
M.:Then he missed the greatest thrill of HIS life.
Me: For serious.

Roommate: Where were you hanging out with Justice Breyer???
Me: We’re just best friends now. You know how it is.

B____: Well I am going to assume you meant shook. not shock. But YAYAYAYAYAAY! THAT IS SO COOL.

So yeah, Justice Breyer and I are basically best friends. In that, I said lots of awkward things to him. And he was all, “nice to meet you.”
Also, some fellow law types made fun of me because I was shaking a little (A LITTLE) afterwards. Also also, someone asked me if the secret service guys were hot and I made something up (“Oh yeah, you know, men with guns and ear pieces what’s not to like blah blah”) but really I was thinking ‘JUSTICE BREYER WAS THERE WHY WOULD I NOTICE HIS SECRET SERVICE OR CARE IF THEY WERE HOT!? JUSTICE BREYER!’ For those of you who are wondering, yes, Justice Breyer is a 70something old white guy. I didn’t say I wanted to sleep with him. I just want to worship him from afar. You haven’t been to law school, you don’t understand! He writes words! And I read them! And they change how I have to do things!

1) Run 500 miles this year
2) Eat more fruit
3) Learn to use my crockpot better (I would say learn to cook or something but let’s face it, that’s just not happening)
4) Don’t fail the bar exam. (Don’t fail law school)
5) Find a non-sucky NJ apartment, be the best clerk EVER.

No class til Monday, so spending the next few days working at a conference and making some monies! Part of me is deeply enjoying spending the day giving directions. Part of me is just in it for the money. And the delicious free food. And the chance to meet a Supreme Court Justice or two. How do you think one addresses a Supreme Court Justice? It’s a pleasure to meet your Honor? It’s a pleasure to meet you Justice ____?
Don’t worry about it, if past Supreme Court Justice interactions are anything to go by I will just stare and gibber. And there will be a billion other people around also gibbering.

I know it seems silly, the girl with the blog who puts her thoughts out there for anyone obsessed with facebook privacy? But facebook is a little creepy. And I realized while working on some stalking research last year just how creepy people can be on facebook. So I decided to work down 150. Maybe next 100? Maybe someday I’ll be as bold as K8 and just let it go. But then how would I let people know about my impressive achievements??

I am sort of in a frenzy of throwing things away lately. It’s hard to tell I’ve been doing it because there is so much crap. Facebook friends and weird art projects from 4th grade girl scouts are apparently both considered crap. Sorry people who didn’t make the cut!

My room is full of crap. Floor to ceiling full of crap. Partially this is my parents fault, “Kt you don’t have to clean your desk, you just have to take everything on top of it now and put it in this nice box.” As a result my room and the attic are full of these boxes. I refuse to think about the attic. Just spent about 2 hours cleaning out my closet. And I’m not sure you can tell I did anything. It’s rather depressing.

On top of that, the trash can (like the one that goes outside) is super full. So there’s a limit to how much more I can get rid of this week. I’m going to need my own landfill anyway. Really I’ll just be moving Kt 1987-2009 en masse as a big pile of crap from my room to their dump. In the future I pledge to hold on to less crap. No more bottle caps, magazines, burger king toys, doll socks without mates, weird amphibian thing on a wire leash, and other assorted junk that clearly has no purpose and never had a purpose.

I hate to think about how much crap I have in DC after three years… Blerg. I’m going to need 2 landfills. And I’m going to keep a medium sized recycling plant working late into the night.
